English for Business Negotiations

In many professional situations, Thai employees are required to discuss terms, clarify expectations, or resolve differences with international colleagues, suppliers, or clients. This may happen during meetings, video calls, or email follow-ups where English is the working language. Even when technical knowledge is strong, misunderstandings can occur if ideas are not expressed clearly, if tone is inappropriate, or if key points are missed while listening. Business negotiation skills help professionals communicate their position confidently, understand the other side’s priorities, and reach practical agreements in English.

This course focuses on the language and communication skills needed for negotiations in real workplace contexts. Participants develop the ability to explain proposals, respond diplomatically, ask for clarification, manage disagreement, and confirm outcomes. Particular attention is given to listening skills, polite but firm language, and cultural awareness, which are often challenging for Thai professionals working in international environments. The aim is not only accuracy, but clarity, confidence, and professionalism in spoken English.

Classes are delivered online via Zoom and are usually conducted as one-to-one lessons or in small private groups of three to four participants with a similar level of English. Course length and content are flexible and adapted to the backgrounds, roles, and interests of the participants. Lessons may focus on specific industries, typical negotiation scenarios, or current work-related challenges, ensuring that the language practiced is directly relevant and immediately usable in the workplace.
